Amentum in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a Biometric Technician to support USCIS ASC operations. This part-time role involves biometrics registration, crowd control, and delivering high-quality customer service to applicants.

The position requires US citizenship, English proficiency, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain facility credentials. Schedule typically 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with potential schedule changes as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain facility credentials; US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days.

Responsabilités

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and USCIS ASC.
• Safeguard all areas where Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is vulnerable.
• Perform quality biometrics processing to include capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures.
• Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and identification.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure a safe and organized entry.
• Visually inspect applicants and belongings prior to entry.
• Conduct facility checks and report concerns to Site Supervisor.
• Assist Site Supervisor or government officer in emergencies.
• Manage and complete administrative paperwork such as tracking processing time and visitor logs.
