Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician to support USCIS ASC operations in Tampa, FL. This on‑call role performs biometric processing, screens applicants, and provides frontline customer service while safeguarding PII.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, have a high school diploma, English proficiency, and flexible availability five days a week; training will be provided and hours are not guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization (U.S. citizenship required for credentials).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicants' hands for fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of biometrics training and certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all entrants are approved and provide crowd control and policy enforcement support.
• Provide front-line customer service on behalf of the U.S. Government and Amentum.
