Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers for its programs. This part-time, hourly role requires a strong Christian faith and active church involvement, with the ability to deliver LifeWise lessons to students using the provided curriculum.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintain a safe, organized classroom, and uphold LifeWise policies. Training will be provided, and staff act as ambassadors within the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis using provided curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers and assign duties; communicate with the teacher.
