Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who can demonstrate biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate participates in church life and communicates well with students, volunteers, and staff.

You will complete substitute teacher training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, and implement curriculum while maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment in line with LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and report to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
