LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and active church involvement. The role requires completing substitute teacher training and delivering LifeWise lessons as needed, using provided curriculum within a safe and engaging classroom.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with teachers and volunteers, maintain attendance records, and uphold LifeWise policies and procedures in all classes.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
