Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate strong biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching students.

Responsibilities include training, delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe classroom environment, and adhering to LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
