Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher to support LifeWise classrooms on an as-needed, part-time basis. The role focuses on delivering LifeWise curriculum, maintaining a safe and engaging environment, and upholding program policies. You will record attendance and communicate with the supervising teacher.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and strong communication skills to connect with students, volunteers and families.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain Records and take attendance; provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher about class progress and needs.
