Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to deliver LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers.

The ideal candidate shows a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and strong communication and interpersonal skills; training is provided with expectations for attendance records and classroom management.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow LifeWise program discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide records to the teacher.
• Keep classroom clean, attractive and well-ordered; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador and communicate plans with volunteers and the teacher.
