Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher with strong Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive and proficient in engaging students.

You will complete substitute teacher training, implement the LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe and organized classroom, and keep attendance records.

Qualifications

• Active church participation aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment.
• Follow LifeWise policies and student discipline procedures.
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher.
