Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a substitute teacher who embodies a mature Christian faith and participates actively in a local church. You will deliver LifeWise lessons, implement provided curricula, and support a safe, engaging classroom while following program policies.

The position is part-time and requires training, communication with teachers, and acting as an ambassador within the community to promote LifeWise values.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain Records: Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain Classroom: Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know procedures for emergencies.
• Communicate: Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.
