Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher. The role requires a mature Christian faith, active church participation, and strong communication with students and volunteers.

You will deliver LifeWise lessons, implement curriculum, and maintain a safe, engaged classroom in line with LifeWise policies. You will collaborate with teachers, coordinate lesson plans with volunteers, and represent LifeWise Academy within the community while adhering to program discipline and safety

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a mature Christian faith in alignment with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with compatible doctrine.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers before class.
• Communicate with the teacher.
