Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to deliver LifeWise lessons when needed. You will implement lesson plans, maintain a safe classroom, and follow LifeWise policies to support students and the school community.

The role requires active church involvement, strong communication, and a commitment to LifeWise beliefs. Training will be provided, with duties assigned by the lead teacher and volunteers.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergency situations.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
