Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who shares a mature Christian faith aligned with our Statement of Faith and participates actively in a local church. You will deliver LifeWise classes as needed, using provided curricula, while maintaining safe and engaging classroom environments.

You will complete substitute teacher training, follow discipline policies, take attendance, and communicate with volunteers and the teacher to ensure smooth class operations and community

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide attendance to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers; coordinate duties with the teacher.
