Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to help deliver LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis. The role requires delivering prepared lesson plans and maintaining a safe, welcoming classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and strong communication skills to engage students and volunteers while representing LifeWise in the community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy's Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance and provide records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador in the community; communicate plans with volunteers.
• Communicate with the teacher about lessons and duties.
