Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and strong communication to support LifeWise classes.

You will complete substitute teacher training, implement the LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe and organized classroom, and coordinate with teachers and volunteers.

This non-exempt, hourly role offers flexible hours and the chance to impact students' learning within LifeWise.

Qualifications

• Must be a mature Christian with alignment to LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance and other class records.
• Keep a clean, orderly classroom and prepare for emergencies.
• Communicate lesson plans with the teacher and volunteers; act as an ambassador within the community.
