Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher who demonstrates a mature Christian faith and strong communication with students and volunteers. You will participate in substitute training and deliver LifeWise curriculum with care and clarity.

Responsibilities include teaching LifeWise classes as needed, maintaining a safe, organized classroom, keeping attendance, following discipline policies, and coordinating with the lead teacher and volunteers to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis; implement the LifeWise curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide attendance information.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador within the community and communicate lesson plans with volunteers.
• Communicate with the teacher to coordinate duties and class content.
