Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers to support LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, delivering lessons with fidelity to the curriculum and maintaining a safe, organized classroom. You will also take attendance and report to the teacher as required.

Ideal candidates are active church participants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a mature Christian faith, and the ability to work with teachers and volunteers in a collaborative community.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide reports to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate with volunteers and teachers.
