Job summary

Carowinds in North Carolina seeks a Retail Operations Manager to oversee the operation of park retail departments, maximize sales, monitor inventory and respond to guest buying behavior. This role requires strong self-motivation, leadership, and multi-tasking to drive constant improvement across locations.

You will supervise seasonal managers and staff, enforce safety and quality standards, and develop a high-performing team through coaching.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years related experience in large scale retail operations management.
• Amusement park or similar operational experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug test per company policy (if required).
• Ability to pass a background check per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Manages planning, coordinating and implementing park retail operations, ensuring quality and safety.
• Supervises seasonal staff including hiring, promotion, scheduling and discipline.
• Develops and implements pricing strategies, drives promotions, and monitors inventory and profitability.
• Prepares and analyzes labor and revenue budgets; tracks expenses and payroll.
• Creates professional presentations to review past performance and future strategy.
