Carowinds is seeking a Management-level Retail Operations Leader in Charlotte, NC. The role oversees merchandise and games operations, drives sales, manages inventory, and ensures exceptional guest service.

You will supervise seasonal managers and staff, adapt to consumer buying, and motivate teams to continuously improve. The position requires 3–5 years in retail operations within a large environment, with weekend/holiday flexibility and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years related experience in large-scale retail operations management.
• Amusement park or similar operational experience preferred.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required by policy.
• Proven leadership skills and experience driving continuous improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manages planning, coordinating and implementing retail operations across the Park.
• Supervises seasonal staff, including scheduling, training and discipline.
• Develops and evaluates quality assurance measures to maintain high standards.
• Manages pricing strategies and monitoring of inventory levels and turnover.
• Prepares and reviews financial reports, expenses and labor hours.
• Ensures compliance with policies, safety standards and guest service goals.
