Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is looking for a Store Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail setting in the United States. You will assist both retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order support, while building knowledge of our brands and store processes.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, process payments, and support daily store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required, must pass all background items and physical.
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including flexibility based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and escape issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
