Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is seeking a Store Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing, and you will mix, tint, and match paint to customer specifications.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales while keeping the store clean, organized, and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers professionally.
• Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support.
• Flexible to work scheduled hours as needed, including based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40–60 pounds routinely, with standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
• Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing.
• Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications.
• Build knowledge of The Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes.
• Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels.
• Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals.
• Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle.
• Resolve customer concerns and elevate issues when needed.
• Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed.
