Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Pain Territory Business Manager to establish and maintain relationships with health care professionals to promote JOURNAVX in the United States. You will work with Pain Territory Account Managers and regional leaders to drive adoption, develop clinical expertise, and expand access in hospital networks.

Role requires 5+ years in biotech sales with product launch experience, strong physician engagement, and willingness to travel up to 80% with a base salary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in biotech sales; product launch experience preferred.
• Product launch experience in acute pain and engaging with diverse physicians.
• Experience engaging retail pharmacies to ensure stocking and pull through.
• Experience implementing inpatient formularies, protocols, and order sets.
• Understanding patient treatment geography, care coordination, and referral networks.
• Proficient with IT tools to support business needs including Veeva CRM.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Establish meaningful relationships with assigned physicians to build awareness and drive adoption of JOURNAVX.
• Develop and maintain product expertise and educate healthcare professionals on product use.
• Understand territory dynamics, stakeholder mapping, and access drivers.
• Implement and maintain strategic territory business plans for growth across the customer landscape.
• Drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets meet territory expectations.
• Collaborate with PTAMs, field medical, HEOR, IDN and payer teams to align plans.
• Model ethics and integrity and ensure compliance in interactions.
