Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Pain Territory Business Manager to establish and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and promote JOURNAVX in acute pain. You will work with PTAMs and regional leaders to drive adoption, understand payer and access dynamics, and ensure compliant, high-quality patient care across hospitals and community settings.

The role requires 5+ years in biotech sales, experience with product launches in acute pain, and proficiency with Veeva

Qualifications

5+ years of biotech sales experience with product launches.
Experience launching in acute pain and engaging diverse physicians.
Experience engaging with retail pharmacies and pull-through.
Experience implementing inpatient formulary, protocols, pathways, and order sets.
Understanding care coordination, patient referral patterns and influence networks.
Strong IT skills to support business needs including Veeva CRM.
Experience in a highly matrixed environment.
Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Establishes meaningful relationships with assigned physicians to drive adoption of JOURNAVX.
Develops deep product knowledge and educates HCPs on patient selection and product use.
Maps territory dynamics, stakeholders, and access drivers/barriers.
Implements strategic territory plans to grow opportunities within hospital settings.
Drives sales performance and meets territory budgets and forecasts.
Collaborates with PTAMs, field medical, HEOR, IDN and payer teams for aligned plans.
Models ethics and compliance in all activities.
