Job summary

City Year in Norman, Oklahoma, is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor as a full-time AmeriCorps member. You will coach and mentor students to improve academics, attendance, and behavior while collaborating with teachers to support classroom instruction.

The role includes 2-4 weeks of training, ongoing support from school staff, and access to City Year benefits and AmeriCorps educational awards.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to earn academic success and improve attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support classroom instruction.
• Work with teachers on in-class activities and student assistance.
• Participate in 2–4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year.
• Support extended day programs and student clubs and activities.
• Collaborate with staff to collect and monitor student data and progress.
