Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student success coach and mentor as a full-time AmeriCorps member in Oklahoma. You will coach and mentor students, support teachers, and help improve attendance and academic success across various school levels.

Training will be provided (2–4 weeks) at year start, with ongoing collaboration with teachers and school staff. No prior experience required; strong desire to help students succeed is key.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 and in small groups
• Develop literacy and math skills with varying activities by student level
• Create and implement behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with teachers to collect and monitor student progress
• Support extended day and in-school programs
• Help plan engaging, safe classroom spaces in collaboration with teachers
