Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students across elementary, middle and high schools, helping them achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. The role includes 2–4 weeks of initial training and close collaboration with teachers and school staff throughout the year.

As an entry-level, paid, full-time position, you will support classroom instruction, student progress reviews, and whole-school initiatives while serving students in Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring students 1:1 and in small groups
• Develop literacy and math skills through varied activities
• Create and implement behavior management strategies
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor and discuss student progress
• Support school initiatives to engage students and families
