Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is hiring a Packer to maintain efficient production lines and ensure packaging adheres to specifications.

The role includes rotating through packaging tasks, operating pallet jacks, recording data in ERP, and maintaining safety standards throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience with food manufacturing equipment, strong communication and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Grade School level; High School Diploma/ GED a plus.
• 1-2 years’ experience operating or working with food manufacturing machinery equipment or similar experience.
• 1-2 years’ experience following work task specifications, SOP’s, recipes, etc.
• Must have proficient communications skills both verbal and written.
• Must be proficient in basic math and the proper use of a calculator.
• Must have proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a team player and self-motivated.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Must adhere to safety, SQF, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and drug-free policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production lines and ensure packaging meets specifications.
• Rotate through packaging tasks (manual packing, sealing, boxing, palletizing) and operate pallet jacks.
• Inspect products and report issues.
• Enter data into ERP and Machine Log systems.
• Communicate with leaders about product deficiencies and line status.
• Complete line changeovers and QA tasks as assigned.
• Follow safety and good housekeeping policies.
• Support continuous rotation across workstations as needed.
