Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide efficient onsite service for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment at protein processor plants. The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and support project tasks.

The position emphasizes safety leadership, customer relations, and timely reporting, with 75% travel and a strong focus on preventative maintenance and installations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery).
• Willing to travel 75% or more and holds a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite service to Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support for packaging equipment.
• Assist with installation, start-up, and training of customers on equipment.
• Complete reporting, time logs, and expense reports promptly.
• Collaborate with sales and AFNA staff to maintain customer relations.

Education

Technical Degree or equivalent

Megatronics training/certification
