Job summary

Amcor in the United States is seeking a skilled field service technician to provide onsite equipment service for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging systems at customer plants. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and install packaging equipment, drive to sites, and ensure safe, reliable operation.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in food packaging, a technical degree or equivalent, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to travel 75%+.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology preferred (Megatronics is a plus).
• Physical demands include driving, standing, walking, manual tasks, balance, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
• 3–5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery).
• Willing to travel 75% or more and hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite equipment service for Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment at customer facilities.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance to maintain optimal performance of equipment and packaging materials.
• Install and start up packaging equipment manufactured and sold by AFNA; assist in rebuilding Rotary Chamber equipment at Amcor's RE&D facility.
• Train customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment and establish strong customer relationships.
