Job summary

Amcor is seeking an onsite equipment service technician to provide efficient and timely service on Rotary Vacuum Chamber and other packaging equipment in protein processor plants. The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, safety leadership, and the ability to troubleshoot and support installations and start-ups.

You will travel up to 75% or more, with a requirement for a technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology, plus megatronics

Qualifications

• Education: Technical Degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology or similar discipline.
• 3 - 5 years experience in food packaging industry (material & machinery).
• Willing to travel 75% or more and holds a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
• Understands customer requirements relating to problems to products and equipment.
• Services customer equipment to maintain optimum performance of equipment, packaging films and shrink bag materials.
• Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support for Rotary Chamber and other flexible plastic packaging equipment at customer facilities using Amcor materials.
• Maintains accurate and timely reports on work activities and time utilization.
• Assists in the installation and start-up of all packaging equipment manufactured and sold by AFNA.

Education

Technical Degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical technology or similar discipline

Megatronics training and certification
