Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to join our team. You will execute relay protection testing and CT/VT checks under Senior or Lead supervision, while advancing toward independent system-level understanding and protection schemes.

You will read drawings, navigate test equipment, and document results thoroughly to support commissioning across distribution and transmission substations up to 765 kV. Growth, safety, and quality are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-voltage protection and control testing.
• Familiarity with major relay platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA practices preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks under Senior or Lead oversight.
• Read one-lines, three-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams with confidence.
• Perform CT/VT testing including ratio, polarity, and grounding checks.
• Conduct breaker control circuit testing and verify trip paths.
• Maintain complete test records, redlines, and daily reports.
• Support turnover documentation and commissioning packages.
