Job summary

POWERX is seeking a P&C Test Engineer II to perform relay protection testing and related commissioning activities under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. This role advances from component-level tasks toward system-level understanding and requires a developing ability to execute protection tests with growing independence.

Primarily supporting testing on distribution and transmission substations up to 765kV, you will work with platforms such as Doble, Omicron, RTS, SEL AcSELerator, and GE

Qualifications

• Experience performing relay protection testing and documenting results.
• Ability to read and navigate one-lines, three-lines, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing tasks under Senior/Lead oversight.
• Perform CT/VT testing, ratio, polarity, phasing checks, and grounding verification.
• Test breaker control circuits including trip paths and auxiliary contacts.
• Navigate manufacturer manuals and settings to support testing tasks.
• Maintain accurate test records, redlines, and daily reports.
