Job summary

Nationwide in the United States is seeking a Territory Manager for Personal and Small Commercial Lines to drive profitable growth within an assigned territory. You will develop agency relationships, use market insights, and build business plans that expand new and retained business across product lines.

This role emphasizes field engagement, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with underwriting, product, marketing, and claims to improve portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in business, insurance, sales, marketing or related field preferred.
• Experience: 7–10 years in insurance sales, underwriting, agency management or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Understand goals of the assigned territory and partners; translate into practical growth, profitability, service, and relationship strategies.
• Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, local marketplace information, portfolio results, and other data to identify opportunities and risks.
• Develop and execute territory and partner business plans with measurable objectives and checkpoints.
• Drive profitable new, transferred, retention, and portfolio growth across the assigned product scope.
• Build productive relationships with agencies and distribution partners of varying size and capabilities.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Product, Marketing, Claims, Servicing, Operations and other teams to solve problems and execute growth strategies.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, underwriting standards and regulatory expectations.
