Job summary

Nationwide in Utah seeks a Territory Manager - Personal and Small Commercial Lines to drive profitable growth by building relationships with agencies and distribution partners across the territory.

You will use market data, analytics, and consultative selling to grow new business, retain clients, and improve portfolio performance, while coordinating with underwriting, product, marketing, and servicing teams.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in business, insurance, sales, or marketing; degree preferred.
• Relevant CPCU or CIC designation preferred.
• Typically 7–10 years in insurance sales, underwriting, agency management, or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Understand goals of territory and partners; translate into growth, profitability, service strategies.
• Monitor market and portfolio data to identify opportunities, risks, and actions.
• Create territory plans with objectives, actions, checkpoints, and accountability.
• Drive profitable new business, retention, and portfolio growth within assigned scope.
• Build relationships with agencies of varying size; tailor engagement strategies.
• Communicate product, underwriting, service, and company priorities clearly.
