Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Manager for Personal and Small Commercial Lines to drive profitable growth across an assigned Utah territory. You will develop relationships with agencies, use market data and analytics, and apply strategic planning to grow and retain business.

The role involves frequent travel, field engagement with partners, and collaboration with underwriting, product, and marketing teams to deliver value and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in general business, insurance, sales, marketing, or a related field; a degree is preferred.
• Seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in insurance sales, underwriting, agency management, distribution, or related field (P&C preferred).
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand strategic and operational goals of the territory and partners; translate into growth, profitability, service and relationship strategies.
• Monitor market conditions, competition, portfolio results, and local information to identify opportunities and actions.
• Develop and execute territory and partner business plans with measurable objectives and checkpoints.
• Drive profitable new business, retained business, and portfolio growth across the assigned territory.
• Build productive relationships with agencies and distribution partners; adapt engagement by partner needs.
• Communicate product, underwriting, service, and company priorities clearly to partners.
