Job summary

Meijer is seeking an experienced store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations. You will mentor team members, drive customer service excellence, and implement strategies to improve sales while maintaining store standards.

The role emphasizes staffing decisions, conflict resolution, and ensuring a safe, productive, and welcoming shopping environment. Retail leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store; helpful in understanding workflow.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and train staff to meet sales goals and safety standards.
• Certification requirements completed as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach employees to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and store performance.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation according to standards.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Manage P&L and control shrink within the department.
• Ensure safety and provide reliable attendance.
