Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Clear direction and excellent communication with team members.
• Ability to resolve conflict and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
• Experience in teach/suggestive selling.
• Commitment to safety and staff mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development opportunities; involved with promotions.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service and sales goal achievement.
• Maintains store appearance with prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Ensures thorough training for all job roles and ongoing staff development.
• Promotes a safe work environment and Meijer Friendly Initiative.
