Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) is seeking a part-time Front Desk Associate at a Navy Gateway Inn/Lodge in Norfolk, VA. The role covers guest check-in/check-out, reservations, and handling guest requests with a focus on security and privacy.

Responsibilities include operating the PMS, taking calls on a multi-line system, balancing shift transactions, and ensuring lobby and guest areas remain clean and safe. Overnight shifts are regularly scheduled, with weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general office clerical experience.
• 1 year progressively responsible experience related to the position.
• College education may substitute for experience at 1/2 academic year per 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with check-in/check-out and reservations.
• Process payments and issue lodging receipts.
• Maintain front desk records, keys, and lobby safety.
• Operate the PMS and multi-line telephone system.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
