Job summary

The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in Kittery, ME seeks a part-time front desk associate for Navy Gateway Inn and Suites or Navy Lodge. You will greet guests, manage reservations, handle payments, and support check-in/out while maintaining a safe, welcoming lobby environment.

Responsibilities include using the PMS to access guest info, coordinating with staff on operations, and resolving guest issues in accordance with policy. Weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications

• One 1 year of general office clerical experience.
• One 1 year progressively responsible experience related to the position to be filled.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests with a positive attitude and assisting with lodging inquiries.
• Handle reservations, payments, check-in/check-out, and issue certificates of non-availability when needed.
• Use the Property Management System (PMS) to access guest information and manage bookings.
• Coordinate with Front Office Manager/ AGM on group reservations and room assignments.
• Ensure front desk operations, lobby appearance, and safety/privacy of guests are maintained.
• Assist in preparing reports and daily cash handling; balance shift transactions.
