Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage the job after sale, and maintain customer data on usage trends.

Salary + commission, with uncapped earnings potential. Responsibilities include visiting job sites, managing schedules, creating material estimates, and reading blueprints while collaborating with internal teams

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or business to business selling.
• Knowledge of home building basics is preferred.
• Ability to create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders and remodelers.
• Manage each sold job and relationship through delivery.
• Collect and maintain customer information on product use and trends.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain schedules.
