Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage the job after sale, visit job sites, and keep up-to-date on customer usage and trends.

The role rewards a salary plus commission with no cap on earnings, requires the ability to read blueprints, create estimates, and work independently.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts monthly/quarterly.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsibilities

• Sell full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders and remodelers.
