Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and manage relationships with local contractors, builders and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage accounts, and visit job sites to ensure satisfaction.

Salary comes with commission and there is no cap on earnings. You will coordinate with yard and dispatch teams and leverage your knowledge of building basics to win new business.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and relationship building.
• Knowledge of home building basics and materials.
• Ability to create estimates/quotes and handle special orders.
• Open new contractor accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Read blueprints and provide material take-offs.
• Capable of working independently and managing time.

Responsibilities

• Sell full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders and remodelers.
• Manage and grow customer relationships; coordinate with yard and dispatch offices.
• Visit job sites as needed; maintain schedules and communicate effectively.
