Job summary

The Container Store is seeking an Outside Sales & Design Consultant in Albuquerque to design and sell custom spaces for homes and select small to mid-sized business environments. You will manage projects end-to-end—from in-home consultation to installation—while building repeat clientele and referrals and developing B2B relationships.

The role offers a competitive base salary with a ramp-up period and a lucrative monthly bonus tied directly to sales performance, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with 2-5 years of outside sales experience.
• Self-starter who is organized, creative, solutions-oriented, and able to manage time, appointments, and projects in a white-glove space.
• Knowledge of design principles and trends in custom spaces, interior design, and retail industries.
• Professional appearance and clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; Salesforce; AutoCAD; Windows-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales goals by designing and selling custom spaces for residential, business, and trade clients.
• Establishes trust with customers to design and present projects and customized plans clearly.
• Manages multiple projects with detail, timely follow-up, and concise communication.
• Develops clientele and leads through relationships, referrals, and professional partnerships.
• Builds relationships with interior designers, builders, realtors, property managers, and other partners.
• Identifies and manages small to mid-sized B2B and trade opportunities.
• Attends installations as needed to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information.
