Job summary

The Container Store is seeking an Outside Sales & Design Consultant to design and sell custom spaces for homes and select business environments. This full-time exempt role handles in-home consultations, design, installation, and organizing projects, with a focus on building repeat clientele and referral networks.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with 2–5 years outside sales experience.
• Custom spaces or closets experience preferred.
• Strong organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales goals by designing and selling complete solutions for residential, business, and trade clients.
• Establish trust and rapport to present projects clearly and professionally.
• Manage multiple projects with attention to detail and timely follow-up.
• Develop clientele through relationships, referrals, and partnerships.
• Builds relationships with interior designers, builders, realtors, and property managers.
• Identify and manage B2B/trade opportunities across multiple units or phased projects.
• Arrive on time for appointments and installations to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain discretion with confidential company and customer information.
