Job summary

The Container Store is seeking an Outside Sales & Design Consultant (part-time) to design and sell custom spaces for homes and select business environments. You will manage projects from in-home consultation to installation, building repeat clientele and referrals while growing B2B connections with property managers, builders, and real estate pros.

Expect a competitive base with a ramp-up period and a lucrative monthly bonus tied to sales performance, plus uncapped commission potential.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred with 2–5 years of outside sales experience.
• Experience designing spaces or closets is preferred.
• Good time management and white-glove customer service skills.
• Knowledge of design trends in custom spaces, interior design, fashion, and retail.
• Strong verbal and written communication; professional presentation.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed sales goals by designing and selling complete space solutions.
• Establish trust and understand customer needs for clear project plans.
• Manage multiple projects with attention to detail and follow-up.
• Develop clientele through relationships, referrals, and partnerships.
• Build local business connections with designers, builders, realtors, and managers.
• Identify and manage B2B/trade opportunities for multi-unit projects.
• Attend installations and schedule work to ensure positive experiences.
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
