Job summary

The Container Store in Tennessee seeks an Outside Sales & Design Consultant to design and sell custom spaces for homes and businesses by appointment.

You will manage projects from in-home consultation through installation, building repeat clientele and referrals while expanding B2B relationships. The role includes a ramp‑up period with a lucrative monthly bonus tied to sales performance.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years outside sales experience preferred, with custom spaces/closets experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales goals by selling complete, functional, and aesthetically appealing storage solutions.
• Establishes trust and understands customer needs to design and present projects clearly.
• Manages multiple projects with detail, timely follow-up, and concise communication.
• Develops clientele through relationships, referrals, and partnerships.
• Builds relationships with designers, builders, realtors, property managers, and trade partners.
• Identifies B2B opportunities and multi‑unit or phased projects.
• Attends installations as needed to ensure positive customer experience and gather referrals.
