Brown University Health seeks a Scheduler to support the nursing station by handling clerical duties and booking outpatient services. You will maintain accurate patient information, process cancellations, and resolve scheduling discrepancies, while modeling the organization's Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence values.

Qualifications

• Previous scheduling experience or related field such as registration.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Keyboard/Data entry experience.
• Cooperative in interactions, courteous, respectful and compassionate.
• Responds in a timely manner.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strives to prevent/resolve customer concerns to satisfaction.
• Participates in mentoring and staff meetings as required.

Responsabilités

• Accurately takes bookings for outpatient services.
• Gathers patient information and requests bookings.
• Processes cancellations and rescheduling quickly and accurately.
• Records MD orders and resolves discrepancies with booked tests.
• Responds quickly to booking problems identified by patients or MD offices.
• Pre-registers patients for last-minute bookings.
• Provides accurate and timely answers to inquiries.
