St. Charles Health System is seeking a Centralized Scheduler in Bend, OR to manage patient appointments for diagnostics and procedures. You will pre-register patients, collect demographics and insurance info, and enter order details with accuracy and efficiency.

liaising with physicians, departments, and patients, you will ensure correct scheduling using templates, maintain communications, and handle a large call load with excellent customer service. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience using PC-based office tools (MS Office, Outlook, Excel).
• Customer service experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Pre-registers patient in registration system; collects demographics, insurance info, and deposits.
• Contacts patients and pre-registers per criteria; schedules from physician orders following department standards.
• Selects correct procedures from templates and inputs details into scheduling system.
• Communicates with departments to ensure procedures are scheduled correctly when questioned.
• Handles a high volume of calls; delivers professional, expedient patient service to meet department standards.
• Maintains cross-department communication and directs patients to correct areas for procedures not scheduled.
• Prioritizes work based on urgency; ensures all details and documentation are entered.
• Supports organizational values, VIP lean principles, and maintains a safe environment for caregivers and patients.
