ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM is hiring a Centralized Scheduler in Bend, Oregon. This role schedules diagnostic exams and procedures, entering orders and demographics while coordinating with patients, physicians, and hospital departments for timely, accurate scheduling.

The position emphasizes high-quality customer service, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong data entry. A high school diploma is required, with preferred Associate’s degree and scheduling experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or higher.
• Required: Intermediate experience using PC-based office tools (MS Office, Outlook, Excel).
• Preferred: 1–2 years scheduling experience in a Call Center or hospital setting.
• Experience in a high-volume customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers patient in the registration system and collects demographics.
• Pre-registers patients from physician orders and schedules accordingly.
• Selects procedures from templates and enters data into the system.
• Communicates with departments to ensure correct scheduling.
• Handles high call volume with professional customer service.
• Maintains patient flow and directs to correct departments as needed.
• Ensures documentation is complete and accurate in the system.
• Prioritizes urgent tasks and supports continuous improvement.
