Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to arrange appointments for diagnostic exams and procedures. The role involves entering orders and demographics, coordinating with physician offices and departments to schedule in a timely manner.

You will handle high call volumes and ensure accurate documentation and registration. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associates degree, and experience with PC-based office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience using PC-based office tools (Microsoft Outlook and Excel).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pre-registers patients in the registration system and collects demographics and insurance information.
• Schedules patient appointments for diagnostic exams and procedures.
• Communicates with patients, physician offices and departments to ensure accurate scheduling.
• Maintains professional, confidential interactions and delivers high-quality customer service.
